HEALTH ANXIETY
Health Anxiety seems to have increased immensely over the last few years and particularly over the last 2.5 years of covid-related worries. It has increased for many hugely. Hence why I have just finished my book “Anxiety Hacks” with tools, techniques and tips for calmness. Soon to be released later in 2022.
But what is Health Anxiety?
Health anxiety is the misinterpretation of normal bodily sensations as dangerous. In our minds, we can get swept away with negative thoughts and feelings that can produce very real physical symptoms, including muscle tension, dizziness, stomach aches, rapid heartbeat, and much more.
We can then believe that something is seriously wrong, but how do we know if these symptoms are severe or is it health anxiety? Even after reassurance from visiting the Doctor, the cycle continues.
I have found that many therapies have positive results to help you begin to feel calmer and let go of your anxious behaviors. These include CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Psychotherapy, NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) and Hypnotherapy.

Eating Disorders
Kate helps her clients in breaking the difficult behaviors connected with all types of eating disorders, from bulimia, anorexia, binge eating, compulsive/emotional eating, to orthorexia. Kate will help you to address your body image worries and guides you towards gaining a clearer understanding in order to develop effective coping mechanisms.

Anxiety
Anxiety is how you naturally respond to stress. It’s a feeling of fear or nervousness about what’s about to happen.
It is a normal and sometimes helpful emotion that we all experience. This could be giving a presentation or speech, or an interview for a new job. It only appears its ugly head once in a while and does not disrupt your daily life.
BUT sometimes if the anxiety is extreme, the intense fear is constantly there bubbling inside of you causing issues in your life and lasts longer than 6 months then it could be an anxiety disorder.
Kate will work with you to identify unhelpful thoughts and behaviors along with other techniques, to give you assistance in managing emotions and moving forwards towards a calmer you.
